FBFC (Areva group)

FBFC (Areva group) has ordered a snoxCustomDesign AGV from us for its Romans sur Isre site. This high-capacity AGV (6.5 tonnes in total) is used in the nuclear industry to feed drums to four production lines.

The guiding method chosen can bring the drum to within 0.3 mm of the line. FBFC makes its operations secure by automating this task using an AGV. The AGV is still guided by an operator in semi-automatic mode and synchronises handovers with the production line PLC via communication cells, thereby ensuring transfer reliability and transparency.

Operators can therefore focus on their manual operations without worrying about positioning accuracy or the actual transfer of the drums.
